The client is India's premier defense organization involved in UAV development. With Zeus Numerix, it got engaged in performing a massive scale computation, when the interest was shown for evaluating Radar Cross Section (RCS) on high frequency EM waves.

RCS prediction on a representative case

The aircraft of interest was 10 m long and the Maxwell equation finite volume solver's requirement of keeping atleast 5 cells per wavelength forced upon a mesh of 450 million control volumes. The challenges in full aircraft (fuselage, wing, tail, fin, pylon and nacelle) mesh generation were overcome through some innovative modification in GridZ™ and Zeus Numerix went on to occupy country's two largest computational servers for the purpose. Zeus Numerix is known among its client for pushing the frontier of technology with its approach.
